What to do with this stormy weather... (sew!)

Nu het weer alweer op herfst begint te lijken...

Now that fall weather is approaching...
... heb ik weer extra veel zin om lekker binnen achter de naaimachine te zitten. Met heel veel ideeën maar dit konijntje had even voorrang, want dat is een kraamcadeautje! Het patroon komt uit het Tildaboek 'Crafting Springtimegifts'.

... I want to stay inside and sew. And I have many ideas but this little rabbit has a priority, because it's a maternity gift! It's from the Tilda-book 'Crafting Springtimegifts'.

Wat ik jullie ook nog wil laten zien is dit boek van Cath Kidston, het is de Nederlandse versie van Sew! en een perfecte handleiding voor beginnende naaisters. Daarbij zitten er leuke patronen in en alles is natuurlijk gemaakt van de geweldige Cath Kidston-stoffen. En... de benodigdheden (inclusief de geweldige bloemstof) voor de tas op de voorkant zit erbij!!! Jullie kunnen je wel voorstellen: ik ben helemaal happy met deze aankoop en kan niet wachten om de tas te gaan maken (weer een puntje op mijn to do-list...)!

I would like to show you this book of Cath Kidston (my English readers know it allready I think), this is the Dutch version of Sew! and it's the perfect manual for beginning sewers. While there are nice patterns in the book and offcourse all is made with the fantastic Cath Kidston-fabric. And... the accessoiries are included!!! You can imagine: I'm very happy with this purchase and I can't wait to make the bag (another point on my to do-list...)!

Grey is the time, is the place, is the motion...

... jawel, deze week heb ik veel grijs gezien maar ook wel wat kleurtjes hoor! Deze heb ik bijvoorbeeld gemaakt: een hoesje voor de mobiele telefoon van mijn zusje. Voor mezelf heb ik een vergelijkbare gemaakt.
...yes, this week I saw a lot of grey but a few colors also! I made this one par example: a case for the mobile phone of my sister. I have made something like this for myself.En dit vogeltje maakte ik ook deze week.
And this little bird I made also this week.

Maar om terug te komen op de grijze mood... dit is de reden dat ik deze week zoveel grijs heb gezien! Herkennen jullie hem nog terug van eerdere posts (toen was ie nog blauw..)?

But to come back on my grey mood... this is the reason why I saw so much grey this week! Can you recognize it from earlier posts (then it was darkblue...)?

Wat ik ook het fijne vind aan grijs is dat bijna alle (pastel)kleuren erbij passen, en ook met wit gecombineerd is het een prachtige kleur!

What I like about grey is that almost all (pastel)colors fit there, and combined with white it's also a lovely color!

Ja, ik ben helemaal blij met mijn nieuw geverfde tuinhuisje! Het heeft me wel een paar dagen verven gekost (wat ik erg leuk vind om te doen trouwens!) maar je ziet meteen resultaat!

Yes, I'm very happy with my new painted gardenhouse! It was a few days of painting (what I like to do moreover!) but you can see result immediately!

The things I've send with the strawberryswap

Ik heb jullie nog niet laten zien wat ik (een paar weken geleden alweer, schande!) heb verstuurd voor de aardbeienswap. Nou, dit dus:

A week at Normandy

We zijn terug van een heerlijk weekje Normandië. Even helemaal niets moeten, gewoon lekker ontspannen en genieten.
We are back from a lovely week at Normandy. No obligations, just relaxing and enjoying.Aan zee kom ik helemaal tot rust. Lekker op blote voeten over het strand lopen, pootje baden...
The sea brings me to totally relax. Walking barefoot on the beach and paddle...

Mooie kastelen bekijken (wie zou hier niet willen wonen?!)...

En natuurlijk heb ik wat mooie schatten meegenomen naar huis:

In de supermarkt vond ik deze suikerroosjes voor op een taartje (of muffins), dit heb ik in Nederland nog nooit in de supermarkt gezien dus ook deze heb ik meegenomen.

In the supermarket I found this sugarroses to decorate a pie of some muffins, I never saw something like this in a Dutch supermarket so I took this also.

Jullie merken het: ik ben helemaal fris weer teruggekomen (hoewel wel wat verkouden maar ik ging er ziek heen...) en ik kan er weer even tegenaan!

You can notice: I came back totally refreshed (although a bit cold but I went to Normandy a little sick...) so I'm ready for whatever awaits me now!
